Mitch Hedberg’s Pitch to Uniball
The people running a website dedicated to late American comedian Mitch Hedberg have been posting occasional excerpts from his notebooks, and one recent post has him seeking a tour sponsorship from Uniball after using a Gel Impact pen.
In the handwritten letter, on yellow legal paper, Hedberg introduces himself as a comedian who had appeared on David Letterman, starred in a comedy special on Comedy Central and had a small part in the movie ‘Almost Famous.’
Parker Ingenuity Collection: The Almost Fountain Pen
Parker has just released a new line of ink pens that it describes as an “innovative new writing system” that will “revolutionize the look and feel of putting pen to paper.”
The upshot is that the new Parker Ingenuity uses a metallic hood and flexibile polypropylene tip to approximate the easy glide and varying lines of a fountain pen, but has a disposable tip/ink cartridge that can be replaced as easily as a rollerball or gel pen refill.
Stabilo’s Newest Pens: The EASYball and COM4
Look for some cool new additions to the Stabilo family of pens this month, including a new retractable gel that should prove to be super comfortable for writing.
Stabilo is mainly known for its ergonomic range of pens for children, especially the odd-looking and even more oddly named ‘S Move Easy, one of the best pens on the market for young left-handed writers. The company’s pen ranges are distinguished by their unique barrel shapes designed to assist finger placement and use of bright primary colors, as befits a company geared toward kids.
But in the last few years, the German penmaker has been expanding outward, looking to take its reputation for comfort into both the office and university, as well as remaining the go-to pen for schoolkids.
USUS i Ballpoint Pen Review
My first impression of the USUS i is that it is unique. What makes this pen different is the SupraSpin® magnetic system that covers the ballpoint. This hi-tec innovation which holds the pen together takes away the need for any loose parts or springs.
