Today I am reviewing the latest Energel pen from Pentel the Pentel X Gel Pen.
This new pen, the EnerGel-X retractable, is the pen that Pentel is putting up head-to-head against the Pilot G2. To celebrate the launch, the company has rolled out a huge promotional wave – everything from giving away a car to hosting a special VIP lounge at Lollapalooze earlier this month.
I found myself looking at a bunch of pens on a friend’s desk recently. Having some time to kill I wanted something to do. A couple of Pilot rollerball’s caught my eye & I decided to make a comparison.
As I sat doodling around an article about vintage dresses, I wondered if any of the latest inventions in the pen world might become collectable or vintage in years to come.
If pens and pencils are siblings, then pens are the sexy sister who gets all the attention.
But, pencils deserve love, too, and we know a guy who gives them all the respect they’ve earned. His name is Doug Martin, and he’s been running the Pencil Pages site for more than 15 years!
Pencil Pages is not actually a blog, but all the same, it is a tremendous resource for anyone who has even the slightest interest in one of our oldest ‘modern’ writing instruments. His site is packed with articles, photos, history lessons and even classified ads for pencil collectors.
Pens are good, and free pens are even better.
