Apparently Artline 204 FaxBlac pens are a favourite with illustrators as they write a consistently smooth fine line
They are made by Shachihata a company that began life back in 1925 manufacturing stamp pads. Now well known worldwide as a manufacturer of a variety of environmentally & user friendly writing instruments including pens, markers, highlighters & of course stamp pads.
I have come to the conclusion that I have been a bit of a stick in the mud when writing letters & cards. I was about to send seasons greetings to the neighbours, happened to have a red Uni-Ball Jetstream SXN-210 close by & decided to change the habit of a lifetime. A retractable rollerball with a 1.0mm tungsten carbide ball it is hard wearing & writes a smooth 0.45mm line. These pens are available in 8 different colours, including violet, orange & green.
OK, we’re understanding people, we really are. But the Guardian has published a piece that puts forth the idea students are so unused to writing by hand that it stresses them out to do so on exams.
C’mon…seriously?
Pens are like people…different talents, different personalities, different contributions to the overall. Some of them are like class clowns, maybe not particularly helpful, but you still love having them around just for the laughs.
As you guys know, we love those kinds of pens.
When thinking about felt pens, I visualise school children in the classroom adding colour to their masterpieces. If you looked in a few pencil cases I wonder how many contain a Stabilo Greenpoint Sign Pen.
