The Pilot V Sign pen is often marketed as being ideal for writing faxes & labels. Do people still use faxes? Was a question that came to mind.
The fax became popular around the world in the 1980’s. I remember working in some large organisations that even used to employ staff that spent the whole day sending & receiving them.
The Staedtler Triplus Ball is a stick pen with a difference. The triangular barrel is ergonomically designed, it is claimed that it provides an effortless writing experience. I had difficulty taking the cap on & off. I found this was probably because I hadn’t placed it in line with the triangular sides.
This pen does have a rubberised grip along the length of the barrel, unlike many other basic ballpoints that just have a see through plastic case.
When given a choice I will usually choose to write with a medium point. That said I do like to break free from routine & show my spontaneous side from time to time, so here is my take on the Rotring Tikky Rollerpoint.
Stabilo has built itself a niche by making and marketing pens specifically for kids. The Stabilo Exam Grade Pen takes that concept a step further by aiming for one particular kids’ activity – taking standardized school tests.
At its most basic, the Exam Grade is an ordinary ballpoint stick pen.
But Stabilo created this pen to be used for filling in those little dots on computer-graded exams. Because of that, the ink is designed to flow more evenly than in typical ballpoints, leaving no gaps or skips that might affect the way a scanner reads the test.
Having shied away from fountain pens in the past I have taken the bull by the horns & for the purpose of writing a review decided to give the Jinhao 3000 a go.
